Application Methodology

In large projects, it is observed to have uneven walls. Best time to get it rectified is during erecting
the wall itself but there are ways to get it rectified during gypsum plastering also.

Saint-Gobain Gyproc^® plasters are applied directly over various surfaces and executed in 9 Easy Steps:

Clean and Wet

Clean and pre wet the
wall before application

Mixing

Mix Powder in water
(in the ratio of 100:80)
& not vice versa

Blending

Mix thoroughly to
make a uniform
smooth slurry

Level Mark

Put Bull mark at every 4
feet and ensure vertical
level by using plumb

Reference Mixing

By using aluminum box plate
(bottom patti) on bull marks, fill
the gap with Gyproc^® plasters

Application

Apply fresh material
paste on wall with the
help of trowel

Levelling

Level the material paste
on the wall with the help
of aluminum box plate

Finishing

Mix thin slurry & apply on
levelled surface with trowel
to get smooth finish

Drying

Leave the wall to
dry for 2-3 days

Method of Application

Make the surface clean,
free of debris and oil. Chasing
should be completely filled

Ways to apply gyproc plastering solutions

Apply the first layer of basic
coat over the entire surface

Apply the mesh from the
top to bottom of the wall by
pressing it into the first layer
of the base coat (starting
from the centre then out to
the side).

Apply the rest of the base
coat keeping the mesh
sandwiched between the two
coats

Apply at least 3 mm of upper
coat material on top of the
base coat
