The Palladium hotel in Mumbai is located in Lower Parel, the hub of central Mumbai. The Palladium is a 43 storey high hotel, built along with a 4 storey mall complex and a lobby area starting from the 9th floor. The project, being a high rise structure, required a lightweight construction that would aid in structural load reduction. It also required good sound insulation and fire resistance in line with the stringent performance requirements of 5 star hotels.
Gyproc drywall systems were chosen for the entire project primarily due to their twin advantages of being lightweight, which resulted in significant structural load saving, and an ability to deliver high performance in terms of acoustics and fire rating.
